Mr. Richard Wallace, age 81, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born in in Sherman Township of Newaygo County, Michigan on March 23, 1941 to Isabelle Gould and served his country first in the US Marine Corp for 4 years and then for 16 Years in the US Air Force. He married the former Karen Johnson on June 19, 1968. After retiring from his military service Mr. Wallace worked at Howmet in Whitehall in various positions until retiring after 26 years there. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and enjoyed music and collecting old records.
SURVIVORS
Wife, Karen Wallace; Daughter, Kay Wallace; grandchildren, Michael Scott, Joseph Scott, Destiny Wallace; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Wallace; daughter Sherry Lynn Wallace Scott in 2015; sister Margaret Atwood.
SERVICE
Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 1:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Rob Cook officiating, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. According to his wishes Richard has been cremated and his ashes will be buried in Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers please consider Central United Methodist Church.
