To Naomi and family, my prayers are with you and so very sorry for your loss. May Smith Furlough
I was so glad as a child when Uncle John and Aunt Nellie brought their family for a visit. There were lots of kids to play with. I was 17 when Gerald was born. Soon after that, Aunt Nellie needed some surgery, so Gerald came to stay with my family for a while. I learned very well how to take care of baby boys. It only helped a little when I had six daughters, but I always remembered how wonderful it felt to hold a baby.
After I got married, I only saw Gerald occasionally at family gatherings. He was always so handsome and good natured. I wish Uncle John and Aunt Nellie could have lived longer to see their children's accomplishments. They would be so proud. I am proud of all of them and love them, too.
My love and prayers for all the family.

Your family will miss you, but you will always be in their hearts.
My thoughts and prayers to the VanHassel family. I always enjoyed talking with Jerry when he did repair at Muskegon Airport, and see him around Whitehall. RIP Jerry.
