Even though Beatrice has been gone for quite awhile now & I didn't plan on writing anything else on her obituary page, I thought of one last thing to mention. When I was riding in the back seat of her car when I was an infant as Bob Christiansen was driving I tried to make a tight rope out of the seat belt. Even though it irritated Beatrice & made her nervous, as she was sitting in the front passenger seat, I enjoyed walking across the seat belt all those years ago since it was fun.

CandleBea was my aunt. I have so many good memories of visits with her and her family while I was growing up! And in the past few years, when I would be able to talk to her on the phone when she would call my mom. And just the visits with her in Michigan. I loved hearing the stories she told about her youth and about my mom and her growing up. She is now in a place with no pain and tears; and back with her mom and dad, brother, and other loved ones. I will miss you Aunt Bea!

I have so many happy memories of your Mom and feel so fortunate to have had her in my life from my very early years and as a pen pal in my later years.Even tho years and miles separated us we kept in touch. God has her in his keeping now and I have her in my heart. Love Joanne

David and I were so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing last week. She was truly a Treasure and we will always remember her. One of our dearest memories is her wonderful laugh and her sense of humor. She was always quick with a smile, compliment or welcoming gesture. We had many good conversations over dinners served in the dining room at Weber Road. We have all of you in our hearts and are happy know you are also comforted with many wonderful memories of your mom.

We all admired Beatrice for her grace, courage, and determination. Her life, her accomplishments, especially for a woman of her era are inspirational to all. My condolences to the family, a life as long as hers leaves a large void , but the beauty of a life well lived never dies. Hopefully the many memories you hold dear will ease the burden of your loss.

Beatrice was my grandma. I enjoyed communicating with her. She was a nice person. I think of her often.

CandleOne final entry in my tribute to "Mom". I appreciated the most being able to find out more about mom as a person the final year of her life. When it was just her and me together going through old snapshots and photos from her childhood to adulthood and she would reminisce about each photo. It was like a snapshot of Mom's life and a long one at that (94 years on this earth). Rest well, now, Mom.

CandleDaughter, sister, wife, teacher, therapist, caregiver some of Bea's many roles in life. For me, she will be remembered as my mother from a child to an adult--decades through time. Now her time will be at peace.
Your daughter, Robin

Beatrice, as many knew her, was a woman of many hats, but to me, she was just "Mom".

CandleGoodbye mom. I'll miss you, but I'm glad I was able to spend these last three years close to you. Although you sometimes felt you were a bother to me, I enjoyed the time we spent together shopping, eating out and driving out to the lake. Godspeed. Your son, Neil.
