Mr. Lynne Yake, age 85, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 18, 2006. He was born on October 19, 1920 in Lachine, MI to Walter and Lulu (Haken) Yake. Lynne was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served his country during World War II. He married Sofie Mastee on November 3, 1951. Lynne was employed for 35 years as a machinist for Challenge Machine Co. before retirement and was a life member of the VFW post #2326. Survivors include his wife, Sofie; nephew, Richard Yake and numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Marian Cloft; three brothers-in-law, John (Violet), Joseph (Virginia), and Walter Mastee; two sisters-in-law, Genievieve and Irene Mastee. Lynne was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ivaline Yake; and brother, Alfred Yake. The Funeral Service will begin at 10 am Saturday morning at St. Fancis de Sales Marian Chapel, followed by Military Rites under the auspices of his VFW Post #2326. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation hours will be on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where a Scripture Service will begin at 7:30 pm. Visitation at the Marian Chapel on Saturday one hour prior to service. Memorial to the St. Francis de Sales Church Endowment Fund.
