MCHENRY, MR. WM. B. Muskegon, MI Wm. B. McHenry exchanged his imperfect earthly tent for title to a heavenly home that never deteriorates. Born in Enid, OK, he came to Michigan with his parents, M.L. & Faye McHenry in 1937. He attended local schools as well as Junior College, married Erdene Russell in 1950, & three sons were born to them. He was active in the navel reserve for 11 years becoming an instructor radio-man, coached little league ball in the Churchill Athletic Association., served on the Mona Shores school board 73-90. His father started the Pro-Gas Sales & Service Co. & Bill serviced its first customer & it continued to grow into a successful 3 generation business for 54 years. The company was sold in 2001. Bill's interest in & work with propane gas was evident in his serving on the Michigan Propane Gas Association, & the National Propane Association. He had served as president of both as well as many committees. Bill served on the Michigan State Fire Safety Board appointed their governess from 1978-1996. Bill was a committed Christian who loved his Savior, worshiped & labored in different capacities at his church to help reach others with God's love. A dearly loved hobby he enjoyed was flying as he participated for many years in the Muskegon Air Fair. He was especially fond of his Steersman plane & the many friends who were fellow companions from across the states. SURVIVORS Wife, Erdene of 53 years; sons, Ryan Donna McHenry & Phillip Kathy McHenry; 6 grand- children, Corey, Rachel, Gannon, Rheannon, Kaitlyn & Brysyn & also a foster son who was an exchange student in 1971, Bodo Trichardt of Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents & by a son, Craig in 1989. SERVICE Monday, November 3, 2003, 11:00 AM at Mona Shores Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Siefert & Pastor Andy Husmann officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Sunday, 3-6 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana or Charity of Choice. Clock - Muskegon
