MORAN, MRS. WINEFRED M. Port Huron Mrs. Winefred M. Moran, 96, of Port Huron, formerly of Muskegon, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 5, 1909 in Falmouth, Michigan to the late Harve and Laura E. Yager. She married Ernest Moran on June 19, 1948 in Holton. He died in February 1979. Mrs. Moran was employed at Sealed Power for 42 years prior to her retirement. She was a dedicated member of the UAW and was involved in union activities her entire life. She was an avid card player and belonged to several card clubs. She was a world traveler and fondly remembered her trips to Hawaii, Hong Kong, Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Muskegon. SURVIVORS She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Maxine Wight of Delmar, New York; a step daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jethro (Patricia) Shaw of Shenandoah, Iowa; five grandchildren, Greg (Lynn) Wight, Claudia (Scott) Nill, Valerie (Eric) Sisson, Scott Wight and Amy (Kevin) Elliott; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Edla Ruggles of Illinois and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Yager. SERVICE Thursday, July 27, 2006, 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Lassanske officiating. Interment at Holton Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 10-11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
