THOMAS, MR. WILSON B. Muskegon Wilson Birkley Thomas was born as William Birkley Wilson to Birkley Wilson and Maude Wilson on April 7th, 1919 and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1936. He was residing at McAuley Nursing Home; Muskegon, Michigan, at the time of his death. Wilson served approximately 5 years in the military during WWII. During his long career, he was the Vice President of Real Estate for National Tea Company, which, at that time, was the fourth largest food store chain in the United States. He later became the Vice President for Development and Real Estate for Dominick's Finer Foods. Wilson was preceded in death by his infant daughter Alice Ann, and his wife Odessa Roberts Thomas. Surviving are his son Wilson Thomas, Jr., of Bedford NH, and his daughter Peggy Thomas. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Stephanie Thomas and Wilson Thomas III, Briana Pate, and Jason Pate. He also had two surviving great-grandchildren Cameron Thomas and Catherine Thomas. At the time of his death, alon! g with other projects, he was working with the Grand River Bands of the Ottawa Indians in an effort to obtain Federal recognition for the tribe. A gathering of friends and associates, to honor Wilson, will be held on November 20, at 5:30 PM at the Harbour Towne Yacht Club in Muskegon MI.
