(William) "Bill" J. Wasserberger, age 49, of Spring Lake passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008, at a Grand Rapids hospital. He was born September 15, 1958, in Pontiac, MI, to Neil and Mary Ellen (Wyngarden) Wasserberger. Mr. Wasserberger was a graduate of Rochester Adams High School and Lawrence Technological University. He moved to Spring Lake from Rochester Hills, MI, in 1987 and was employed as the Director of R & D for Consumer Products at Brunswick Bowling. He was a member of the West Michigan Concert Winds and played in both the concert and marching bands in high school. He especially enjoyed classical music. An avid bowler, Bill was also one of the state's leading bowlers in high school and bowled for Lawrence Tech during his college years. He also enjoyed golfing, bike riding, roller blading, and reading. Above all, Bill loved spending time with his son, Kyle, and he enjoyed coaching Tri-Cities Kids' League for his son's teams and watching Spring Lake High School baseball. Survivors include his son, Kyle, of Spring Lake; his step-daughter, Jesse Soule Gleason of Spring Lake; his best friend and mother of son Kyle, Elizabeth Ann "Annie" Wasserberger of Spring Lake; his mother, Mary Ellen Haan of Rochester Hills, MI; a sister, Laura Wasserberger Dixon of Garrett Park, Maryland; a brother, Robert G. Wasserberger of Rochester Hills; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. A time of remembering and sharing Bill's life will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday July 16, 2008 at Pomona Park (47 W. Park St.) in the Village of Fruitport, followed by a time of visiting and refreshments until 8:00 p.m..
