William S. Sparrow

SPARROW, MR. WILLIAM S. Grand Haven Mr. William S. Sparrow, age 64, died Friday, February 18, 2005. He was born in Covert Township, MI on April 23, 1940 to Herman & Ethel Smith Sparrow and married the former Carol Collins on December 19, 1959. Mr. Sparrow had served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had been employed as a Public Safety Officer for the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety until retiring in 1985 and worked at Lowes & Home Depot following his retirement. He was a member of the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed woodworking. SURVIVORS Wife of 45 years, Carol; daughter, Brenda Gary Venema of Grand Haven; 2 sons, William F. Janice Sparrow of Vicksburg, MI, Steven Shannon Sparrow of Clinton Township, MI; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. SERVICE Tuesday, February 22, 2005, 11:00 AM at the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Gary Reiss officiating. VISITATION Sunday, 7-9 PM and Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Grand Haven. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene Memorial Fund or The American Heart Association.
