SHERMAN, MR. WILLIAM 'BILL' Spring Lake William Sherman Jr., 79, of Spring Lake, died Monday Dec. 20, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Brechkinridge, MI on July 3, 1925 to William and Irene Sherman Sr. and married the former Mildred Schoolcraft on April 17, 1971 in Coopersville, MI. Mr. Sherman served his country in the US Navy in WWII. He was a former member of the Spring Lake Wesleyan Church and the VFW Grand Haven Post 2326. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. SURVIVORS Wife, Mildred; son, William Debbie Sherman III of PA; daughter, Beverly Ann Brown of Atlantic City, NJ; 2 step sons, Ernie JoAnn Bernia of Leroy, MI; Larry Pat Bernia of Spring Lake, MI; 2 step -daughters, Teresa Dennis Cuti , Sharon, Richard Bolton , both of Grand Haven, MI; 16 grandchildren; many great grand children; sister, Bonnie Coty of Merrill, MI; 2 brothers, Edward Kate Sherman of Merrill, MI Raymond Shirley Sherman of Sanford, MI. Mr. Sherman was preceded in death by stepson, Joe Bernia. SERVICE Thursday, December 23, 2004, 11:00 AM at Clock Funeral Home, Grand Haven with Rev. William Larhman officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 7-9 PM at the funeral home. MEMORIALS: American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
