William George Playter

PLAYTER, MR. WILLIAM GEORGE Charlotte, NC formerly of Muskegon Mr. William George Playter, age 61, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 25, 1943 to William Robert & Buryll Balcom Playter & married the former Jane Ericksen on May 22, 1981. Mr. Playter had been employed at Hy-Lift in Muskegon for 38 years until retiring in 2000. Bill enjoyed life. He loved golfing with friends & family, hunting, yard work, taking long drives in the country, watching NASCAR races & University of Michigan football games. SURVIVORS Wife, Jane; son, William J. Playter of Indianapolis, IN; parents, William R. & Buryll Playter of Muskegon; sisters, Carol Craig Bond of Twin Lake, MI & Linda Les Woodland of Racine, WI; many nieces, nephews & close friends. SERVICE Friday, March 4, 2005, 2:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Kent Fishel officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 6:30-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
