William A. Peterson

PETERSON, MR. WILLI AM A. "BILL" North Muskegon Mr. William A. " Bill" Peterson, passed away Friday September 23, 2005 at the age of 79 in the company of loving family. Born in and a lifelong resident of Muskegon he married Mary R. Prescott in 1946 and together they raised three sons. He was the proud owner and operator of Peterson Sign Co., was active in community service as Laketon Township Supervisor for 14 years and served as a chairman of the Muskegon County Board of Supervisors. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII, and served in the South Pacific. He was an active member of V.F.W. post 8846 and the American Legion. SURVIVORS Wife, Mary; 3 sons, Jeffrey Jill Peterson of Aurora, CO, Stephen W. Linda Peterson of Grand Blanc, MI & Michael Mary Van Slooten Peterson of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Ryan, Christopher & Matthew Peterson; 1 great granddaughter, Noelle Elzinga & 1 sister, Wilma Bill Garner of Austin, TX.
