MCLEAN, MR. WILLIAM L. Nunica, MI & North Muskegon, MI Mr. William LaVerne McLean, age 75, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on July 6, 1927 to Earl & Bernice Fitzpatrick McLean & attended St. Mary's High School. In 1949 he married the former Donna Marie Sloan who preceded him in death. He then married the former Joan LaPlante DeMuro in Muskegon, MI in 1993 & she survives him. Mr. McLean was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a graduate of the Toledo Meat Cutting School & prior to retiring in 1986, worked as a Machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 36 years. William was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Dennison, MI, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Polish Union Lodge & was an avid golfer. SURVIVORS Wife, Joan; 4 sons, John McLean & Patrick McLean, both of Spring Lake, MI, Michael McLean of Grand Haven, MI & David Monica McLean of Grand Rapids, MI; his daughter, Patricia Steve Deering of Nunica, MI; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his stepchildren, Patrick Nan DeMuro, Paul Susan DeMuro & Susan Ted Saladin, all of Muskegon, MI, Michael Lenna DeMuro & Lynda Jesse Brunais, both of Livonia, MI; 14 stepgrandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ray Blanche McLean of Grand Haven, MI; 1sister, Helene Warner of Walker, MI as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna in 1991; his daughter Jane who died at age 12 in 1964 & by 2 sisters, Rita & Arlene. SERVICE A private family service will be held. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery in Coopersville, MI. VISITATION Friends may meet with the family Thursday, November 7, 2002, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clock Funeral Home-Fruitport.
