MCCONNELL, MR. WILLIAM, "BILL" Norton Shores Mr. William "Bill" McConnell, age 85, died Saturday, May 27, 2006. He was born February 4, 1921 in Battle Creek, MI to Carroll Waldon & Alta (King) McConnell & married Harriet Wallace Schorie, May 3, 1975 in Denver, Co. Bill was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII & had been employed at Clarke Floor Machine for 39 years, retiring in 1986. SURVIVORS wife, Harriet; 1 son, William H. (Marcia) McConnell; 1 daughter, Marion "Marnie" (Tom) Sutter; 1 step-son, Stephen Schorie, 3 step-daughters, Susan Blake, Carolyn Schorie, Beverly Schorie; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Sutter & Anne Sutter; 2 step-grandchildren, Karolyn Blake & Melanie Blake; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara Amsbary; 1 sister, Eloise Harper; 1 brother, Richard McConnell. SERVICE: A "celebration of Bill's life" will take place at a later date.
