William David "Dave" Marsh, affectionately known as "Hollywood," passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on December 26, 1949, in Fremont, Michigan, Dave was the son of William Anthony Marsh and June (Jarvis) Marsh. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Wymer) Marsh, on July 24, 1976, and together they shared five decades built on hard work, travel, and family.
A union laborer by trade, Dave took on some of the toughest assignments, working in paper mills and industrial sites handling hazardous cleanup and maintenance, including work in Kalamazoo. Years of back injuries-ultimately three discs removed-led him to step back from heavy labor, but he never lost his drive to work with his hands and connect with people.
Dave found his calling at flea markets across Michigan and the South, selling leather biker gear and later new fishing equipment he sourced from auctions and wholesale partners. He and Nancy spent around ten years living in Texas, traveling in their RV, and building friendships at RV parks and market grounds. He had a keen eye for a good deal and a gift for storytelling that drew people to his tables. Friends and family fondly recall days at the races, cheering and sharing stories from the back of his truck.
In his final months, Dave faced a difficult battle with dementia. Those who knew him will remember the kind and genuine man he was before illness changed his days. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Kara Jaramilo (Harley Davison); granddaughter, Ines Jaramilo (Ryley Pacyga) ; and great-grandson, Jaxson Pacyga. He was preceded in death by his brother, James, and is also survived by his sisters, Linda and Sally.
In accordance with Dave's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place. The family will privately decide on the placement of his ashes. Memorial contributions to assist the family with final expenses may be made through the funeral home's website or community donation funds. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to friends, coworkers, and community members for their love and support during this time.
