William Allan

Twin Lake, Michigan

William Allan Kuziak, age 65 of Twin Lake, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born October 15, 1957 in Muskegon, MI to Gerald and Shirley (Barnhill) Kuziak. He is preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Greg.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (Baker) Kuziak, two beloved daughters, Heather (Justin) Wallor of Nashville, TN and Melissa (Dakoda) Steele and two amazing grandchildren, Hunter and Ryan, along with many friends who are like family.

Bill graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1976. During his time in school, he became friends with a fellow classmate, Stephanie. The two worked together at a local diner called Flim Flam Restaurant and a romance blossomed. They were married on September 13, 1980.

Bill retired from Knoll Inc. where he had worked for 30+ years. Outside of work, Bill and Stephanie were avid Harley Davidson riders, sharing that love with their daughters who were always found smiling on the back of a motorcycle. Bill and Stephanie travelled to many places on their motorcycles, enjoying trips to the Mackinaw bridge, countless color tours with friends, but their most memorable trip was their ride to Yellowstone National Park. Later in life, if they weren't on a motorcycle, they could be found kayaking down the Muskegon River.

Bill had an extreme love for nature and could often be found quizzing family members on the types of leaves, pine needles or how to identify a specific kind of bird. He loved wildlife and the unique sounds of nature which brought him peace. You could always find deer, turkeys, really any animal, grazing the front property - they just felt safe there. Bill and Stephanie built two log homes on their property, which both girls were able to experience the labor of love that goes into a project like that. He loved his time on that property surrounded by all that he loved.

Of all the interests Bill had, his greatest joy came from his daughters, Heather and Melissa. From learning to ride a bike, softball and volleyball games, school dances, graduations to weddings. He was so proud of them and especially loved seeing them get married and begin their own families. He would light up at the sight of his girls, grandchildren and "fur" grandchildren.

Bill will be truly missed by his friends and family and it brings us peace knowing he is reunited in Heaven with many other loved ones, watching over us now.
