HOLT, MR. WILLIAM THOMAS., JR. Norton Shores William "Bill" Holt, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2006. He was born on April 8, 1926 to William and Helen Holt and was a life-long Muskegon resident. He attended Muskegon High School and was very active in their sports program, particularly baseball, which was his passion. He served in the Navy during World War II, attended Muskegon Community College and was a graduate of Marquette University School of Engineering, Milwaukee, WI. He married the former Doleen Booker of Muskegon on June 24, 1949. Bill succeeded his father and grandfather as president of Enterprise Brass Works Corporation. He had been an avid golfer and was a member of Muskegon Country Club where he served as board treasurer. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Century Club, the Elks, CAM Club and was the first board member for West Michigan Therapy, Inc., serving 14 years. Bill was a past chairman for the United Way and a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club. He remained active after retirement as a professional consultant. SURVIVORS his sister Margaret Holt Bly, five children: Lauri (Michael) Schwab of Holland, Natalie (Craig) Morgan of Wilmington, DE, William Thomas "Tim" Holt III and Barbara Lynn Holt of Muskegon, and Amy (Paul) Bizzigotti of Cadillac., two grandsons, nine granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his wife, and his brother Frank S. Holt. SERVICE A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006, 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
