William Daniel Gietzen

Gietzen, Mr. William Daniel Norton Shores, Michigan WA8HDG is a silent key, William "Bill" Daniel Gietzen, age 75, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 7, 1944 to Daniel & Anne (Staras) Gietzen and graduated from Grand Rapids West Catholic Central in 1962. Bill served his country in the US Air Force. He married the former Katherine Berry on December 8, 1984. Mr. Gietzen had been Emergency Coordinator for ham radio in the 1980's. William was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed amateur radio and the computer. SURVIVORS Wife of 35 years, Katherine "Kitty"; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 half siblings and sister, Elaine (Thomas) Nelson. SERVICE There will be no services. MEMORIAL: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
