William G. "Bill" Carnes

Mr. William G. "Bill" Carnes, age 73, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 29, 1942 to William & Eleanor (Singer) Carnes and married the former Betty Skow on April 23, 1965. Mr. Carnes had been a meat cutter for Ettermans Super Market for 31 years and then at Art Van Furniture. William enjoyed fishing, hunting, casinos, Nascar, the Detroit Tigers and Lions and old cars, but he loved spending time with his family, especially, his granddaughter. SURVIVORS Wife of 51 years, Betty; daughter, Donna (Jason) Hozer; grandchildren, Hailey Hozer; sister-in-law, Judy Carnes; brother-in-law, Rodney (Rosemary) Skow; niece, Nancy (Gene) Eavy; nephew, Mike Skow & many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ronald & Jack Carnes. SERVICE Thursday, July 14, 2016, 12:00 noon with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Eric Strattan officiating. Interment in Norton Cemetery. MEMORIAL: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
