Willard J. Vandervelde

Mr. Willard VanderVelde, age 83, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 25, 1931 to John & Mary (Weitsema) VanderVelde and married the former Barbara Bonifield on May 26, 1951. Willard worked as a machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 48 years. He was a Charter member of the Port City Beagle Club where he raised several field champions. SURVIVORS Wife, Barbara; Son, Clayton J. (Kathleen) VanderVelde; three Grandchildren, Drew, Meagan Great-grandchild, Estelle; Sisters, Louise E. (Richard) Smith; Marilyn H. (Gerald) Dural; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings. SERVICE Monday, September 22, 2014, 11:00 am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Uetricht officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
