Willard Ruster

Mr. Willard S. "Willie" Ruster, age 86, died Saturday, June 9, 2007. He was born in Coopersville, MI on June 14, 1920 to John & Ida (Singerling) Ruster & married Carol Middlecamp on August 14, 1986. Mr. Ruster served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He had been employed as a millwright at Gardner Denver for 45 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of First Reformed Church & the American Legion of Grand Haven Post #28. SURVIVORS Wife, Carol; 2 sons, Douglas (Betty) Ruster of Canadian Lakes, MI & James Ruster of Ellsworth, MI; 2 daughters, Judy (Wayne) Bos of Coopersville, MI & Sue Ruster of Grand Haven; 3 step children, Gary (Linda) Beggs of Mears, MI, James (Sonya) Beggs of Hart, MI & Dianna (Wayne) Fuller of Shelby, MI; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Donald Ruster of Grand Haven, MI; 1 sister, Joyce Whitaker of Grand Haven; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Scott Ruster in 1985. MEMORIAL SERVICE Thursday, June 14, 2007, 2:00 PM at First Reformed Church with Rev. John Kenny officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 1-2 PM at First Reformed Church. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, please consider North Ottawa Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
