Willard Nye

Mr. Willard N. Nye, age 75, died Friday, August 31, 2007. He was born March 24, 1932 in Muskegon to Henry & Adeena (Hegbloom) Nye and married Lois M. Johnson July 11, 1953. Mr. Nye was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea, 1952-1953. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 56 years where he served as an International Representative for 26 years, retiring in 1995. He was a long-time member of Samuel Lutheran Church, life member of the Muskegon Recreation Club, life member of VFW Post 8846, member of the Moose Lodge, the Eagles, and the American Legion. He was a dedicated unionist and a staunch Democrat. SURVIVORS Wife of 54 years, Lois, 2 sons, Willard H. (Deborah A.) Nye of Chicago, Bradley A.(Bill) Nye of Key West, FL; 3 grandchildren, Garrett H. Nye of Atlanta, GA, Jordan C. Nye of Ft. Collins, CO, Breanne N. Nye of Tempe, AZ; 1 brother, Donald Nye of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 11:00 AM, Samuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery will be at a later date. VISITATION Tuesday, at the church, 1 hour prior to the service.
