Willard C. Coburn

Mr. Willard C. Coburn passed away Saturday morning, August 2, 2008 following a long illness. Bill was born on August 5, 1933 in Fremont, MI to Clyde C. and Henrietta (Ridderman) Coburn. The family moved to Muskegon when Willard was just a child and resided in Muskegon until moving to Twin Lake in 1989. He married the former Elaine Stoerman on October 14, 1989 and she survives him. Bill worked for C.W.C. as a maintenance supervisor, retiring and then working for Nugent Sand Co. until retiring again in 1996. Bill was a kind and wonderful man. He loved wood working, sailing and the outdoors. His warmth, grace and great wit will be missed by his family and friends alike. SURVIVORS: wife, Elaine; three daughters, Wendy (Tom) Barnett, Paula (Tom) Miller and Cindy (Ed) Harris; two brothers, James (Annette) Coburn and Sam (Becky Coburn; three sisters, Helen Dickson, Patricia Jackson and Cheryl (Doug) Shane; three step-children, Cheri "TCBY Partner" (Vic Martineau) Tibbe, Dan (Kelly) Stoerman and Joe Stoerman; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at: The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2008, Rev. David Selleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in Twin Lake Cemetery. Visitation: one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
