Wilfred Smith

Mr. Smith, age 95, died March 19, 2007. Born November 23, 1911, in White River Township, to Herman and Jenny (Wilman) Smith, he had lived in the White Lake area all his life. On June 2, 1940, in White River Township, he married the former Bertha Hepworth, who preceded him in death in 2001. He had been a self-employed farmer and had worked at DuPont, and was a member of Whitehall Evangelical Covenant Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Ardis Pranger and by 3 sisters. FAMILY: 3 sons, Robert (Rita) Smith of Ohio, Richard (Cheryl) Smith of Montague and James (Sherry) Smith of Indiana; a daughter, Janet Polgardi of Georgia; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Gertrude Curtis of Holt. SERVICE: Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 11:00AM, from Whitehall Evangelical Covenant Church with the Mr. Donald G. Erickson officiating.
