Warren "Chuck" Charles Mattice II, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born in Muskegon, MI on September 18, 1983, to Warren Mattice & Katherine Botello and graduated from Oakridge High School. After graduating, he answered the call to duty and enlisted in the Army on August 23, 2006. He valiantly served his country in active duty for 4 years during Operation Iraqi Freedom, showcasing his unwavering bravery and commitment. Chuck achieved the rank of Sergeant (SGT) and proudly remained in the reserves for 13 years. Chuck's devotion extended to his family and friends. On October 01, 2021, he embarked on a new chapter of his life, joining in matrimony with his beloved wife Tara Mattice. Together, they shared a love that was boundless and unbreakable. In his downtime, Chuck found solace in the open road while riding his beloved Harley motorcycles, creating memories that will be cherished forever. One of Chuck's greatest joys was the time he spent outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he reveled in the peacefulness nature provided. His love for animals was evident in his own "mini farm," where he cared for an array of creatures including chickens, ducks, pigs, turtles, and dogs. Chuck's compassionate spirit touched the lives of both humans and animals alike. Warren Charles Mattice II will forever be remembered as a loving son, a dedicated husband, a loyal friend, a patriotic soldier, and a compassionate soul. His kind nature will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Wife, Tara Mattice; children, Mark Mattice, Linnea Mattice, Hunter Rhines, Clover Summerville, FaithRain Summerville; siblings, Melonie Eklund, Tiffany Ferris, Brianna (Ren) Lovell, Dominique Stevenson; mother, Katherine (Don Tyler) Botello; in-laws, Marie (Bud) Rhines; uncle, Harry (Tami) Knapp, Ken (Kim) Dowdy; aunt, Andrea (Wyman) Osborn; brothers-in-law, Roger Knash, Buddy (Jodi) Rhines, Josh; sister-in-law, Brittany Griswold; cousins, Zach Knapp, Jimmy (Juanita) Smith, Dakota Knapp, Rooster Smith; and a special mention to the Ezell Family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Botello; cousin, Preston Knapp; aunt, Shirley Jones; uncle, Lloyd Ezell.

Saturday, October 28, 2023, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with visitation one hour prior and Rev Carla Hines officiating.
