Warner, Carl

Mr. Carl Werner, age 89, passed away at a local hospital December 18, 2006, following a short illness. He was born March 22, 1917 in Muskegon to William and Pauline (Krause) Werner. He married the former Helen Kuczapski in Muskegon on May 4, 1946 and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2003. An avid sports fan, Carl was a life long Tiger baseball fan and bowled on several different bowling leagues throughout the years. He was employed at the Norge and then worked as a machinist at Jervis/Alloy Technology in Grandville until retiring in 1984. SURVIVORS: 4 sons, Richard C. (Barbara) Werner of Muskegon, Robert W. (Laura) Werner of Grand Haven, John G. (Lucy) Werner of Riverview, FL and Ronald C. (Sandra) Werner of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Pauline J. Werner of Riverview, FL; 1 brother, Edward (Florence) Werner of Muskegon; a half brother, George (Pat) Hamstra of Palos Park, IL; and 8 grandchildren, Cory, Craig (Sarah), Jason, Deanna, Christine (Nate) Miller, Justin, Brian, and Kelley. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday 11 A.M. at the Lee Funeral Home with Pastor David Hulings presiding. INTERMENT: Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION: Thursday 6-8 P.M. MEMORIALS: American Heart Association.
