Walter M. "Mike" Zellar

ZELLAR, MR. WALTER M. ''MIKE'' Fruitport Twp. Mr. Walter M. ''Mike'' Zellar, age 80, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004. He was born in Cedar Creek Twp., MI on April 21, 1923 to Walter & Georgia Teagartin Zellar & married the former Alice Schaub on March 5, 1942. Mr. Zellar served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been employed as a machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 38 years until retiring in 1981. He was a life member of Fruitport V.F.W. & member of the American Legion in Holton. He enjoyed hunting, traveling & his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Alice; 2 sons, Mick Diana Zellar of Muskegon & Ted E. Zellar of CA; 2 daughters, Kathryn A. Skip Bolthouse of Fruitport & Kitty E. David Stafford of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Ethel Melton of Holland, MI, Elma George Ferguson of Muskegon, Pearl Dewey Waller of Muskegon, Helen Howe of FL & Mary Jim Kelly of Fruitport; several nieces & nephews and all the staff of University Park Living Center. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Blanshine, 1 brother, Spike Zellar & by a sister, Ina Murphy. SERVICE Saturday, February 28, 2004, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Hollis Phillips officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
