Walter "Woody" Booker

Mr. Walter W. Booker left this life Thursday, July 28, 2011. Walter was the oldest of a family of nine children. His parents, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. He obtained an Engineering Degree at Ohio State University and enjoyed a rewarding career with Deere and Company in Iowa. SURVIVORS Survivors are his wife, Phoebe and five children; Stephen (Cathleen) Booker of Valparasio, IN, Cynthia (Robert) Whipkey of Spring Lake, MI, Jennifer (Nabil) Faltas of Des Moines, IA, Bryan (Linda) Booker of Holland, MI, Susan Booker of Spring Lake, MI, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; brothers, Jim (Evelyn) Booker, Stan (Mary Anna) Booker, Tom (Marilyn) Booker; sisters, Dorothy (Cabel) Railey, Jean (Harry) Meier; many nieces and nephews. MEMORIAL SERVICE Monday, August 1, 2011, 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at United Methodist Church of the Dunes with Rev. Eldon Eldred officiating.
