Wallace Johnson

Mr. Wallace Johnson, age 73, of Whitehall, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at Hackley Hospital. He was born October 12, 1934 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Orland and Emma (Ross) Johnson. Wally retired from CWC Textron as a pipe fitter after 35 years of service. He liked to hunt, fish and travel, but mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his parents, Wally was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert; and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Johnson. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Helen (Goodman); children: Al (Barb) Johnson, Wallace (Monica) Johnson, Mary Johnson (Joe Gonzales), Patricia (Joe) Bellah; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Orland Johnson of Spring Lake, Roger (Sue) Johnson, of South Carolina; and sister, Irene (Del) Hutson of Spring Lake. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. with Pastor Jeremy Wegner officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to Wally's service (from 10-11) on Saturday. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Wally's family in care of Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel.
