Wallace L. Jacobson

Mr. Wallace L. Jacobson, age 81, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Muskegon. He was born on May 26, 1926 to Joe and Helen (Rohde) Jacobson in Muskegon Heights, and had resided in the area all of his life. Mr. Jacobson had worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 44 years prior to his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church, and The Viking Lodge. Wally was a true sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golf, basketball, baseball, and was an avid Big Reds football fan. On May 25, 1951 he married the former Marva Huizenga, and she survives him along with 2 children, Thomas (Peggy) Jacobson of Muskegon, Cheryl Fett of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Lauren, Dustyn, and Torrie Fett; 2 brothers, Norman (Doris) Jacobson of Muskegon, and Gerald Jacobson of Whitehall. Wally was a devoted family man, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 10 AM Thursday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Rop officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. Memorial Contributions to Calvin CRC Building Fund or The Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated.
