Vivian Darlene Holmes, age 92, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. She was born in Bitely, MI on March 26, 1931, to Charles & Beatrice (Connely) Matthews and graduated from Holton High School. She later married her second husband, Warren Holmes in 1990. Mrs. Holmes had been employed as an Assistant Administrator for Northcrest Assisted Living. Darlene grew up catholic and was a Cub Scouts leader and the PTA President. She enjoyed being a seamstress and would often make prom and wedding dresses. She loved her Sheltie dogs and was very involved in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives.

Sons, Warren (Donna) Syers, of North Muskegon, Kent (Susan) Syers, of Muskegon, Scott (Valerie) Syers, of Ludington, MI; daughters, Cheryl (Nick) Klug, of Myrtle Beach, FL, Susette (Jerome) Ledford, Lynnelle (Tom) Pouzar; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, her parents, her husbands, and her siblings, Richard, Willis and Eleanor.
