Virginia Mackenzie

Mrs. Virginia B. Mackenzie, age 90, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 22, 1920 to Fred & Della (Workman) DeCoster and married Herbert Mackenzie on November 19, 1941. Mrs. Mackenzie had been a LPN at Mercy Hospital for 20 years until retiring. She was a founding member of Cloverville Baptist Church who was a volunteer for the Red Cross, at Hackley Hospital and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Muskegon Rescue Mission. SURVIVORS Husband of 69 years, Herbert; sons, Robert (Nancy) Mackenzie of Holland, Patrick (Thelma) Mackenzie of Muskegon, Herbert "Sam" (Shellie) Mackenzie of N. Muskegon; daughters, Ann (Thomas) Woodin of Fruitport, Midge Kesckes of CA; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth "John" Mackenzie and 2 brothers & 1 sister. SERVICE Saturday, January 22, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Hospice of North Ottawa.
