HANSEN, MRS. VIRGINIA M. ''GINNY'' Muskegon, MI Mrs. Virginia M. ''Ginny'' Hansen, age 92, a lifetime resident of Muskegon, died Thursday, October 23, 2003. She was born in Muskegon, MI on February 22, 1911 to John & Sophia Anderson Johnson & married George Hansen on September 3, 1935. Mrs. Hansen was a member of Central Lutheran Church now disbanded for about 60 years & was active in all church activities, especially the Ruth Circle & all Women's Groups. She served for fifteen years on the Muskegon Parks & Recreation Board, & was Chairman during the construction of the Chase Hammond Golf Course. She was a member of the Board of Lakeshore Lung Society, the Women's division of the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce, having served as President & worked on their many community projects. She was a Volunteer at Hackley Hospital for many years serving as a Grey Lady during World War II. She enjoyed golf & bowling & was an excellent bridge & Gin Rummy Player. SURVIVORS Husband, George; 2 daughters, Jean M. John Droste & Mary A. Jack Sullivan; 6 grand-children, Julie Droste, Peter Droste, Thomas Terri Droste, Michael Cheryl Hellman, Gregory Hellman & Jennifer Hellman; 2 great-grand-children, Ian Hellman & Lauren Hellman; 3 step grandchildren, Colleen Scott Green, Michelle Rob Sharpe & John Sara Sullivan; 8 step great-grandchildren, Kayla & Kara Green, Rachel, Ryan & Riley Sharpe & Sara, Haley & Faith Droste. MEMORIAL SERVICE Monday, October 27, 2003, 2:00 PM at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Zimmerman officiating.
