Virgil Leinicke

LEINICKE, MR. VIRGIL H. Norton Shores, MI Mr. Virgil H. Leinicke, age 88, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007. He was born in Belleville, IL on October 1, 1918 to Gus & Ida (Schweinfurth) Leinicke and was married to Anne Gertrude (Nesworthy) Leinicke. Mr. Leinicke served his country with honor and distinction during WWII as a U.S. Navy aviator and aircraft carrier pilot. He rose to the rank of Lt. Commander. Mr. Leinicke was a long time resident of Kirkwood, MO. He was employed in the insurance industry for 40 years until retiring in 1985. He is survived by his loving sons, Dr. Jeffrey A. Leinicke of Norton Shores, MI, and Mr. Steven Y. Leinicke of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and their wives, Mrs. Sally Leinicke and Mrs. Shelley Leinicke; and 5 wonderful grandchildren, Andy, Luke, Sarah, Jennifer, & John.
