Violet Moon

Mrs. Violet Marie Moon, age 90, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born in Ferry Township, Michigan on January 4, 1926 to John & Nellie (Pickel) Baxter and married Eldon Moon on May 9, 1942. Mrs. Moon had been employed in the finishing and molding departments for Howmet for more than 30 years until retiring. Violet attended First Baptist Church in Lowell. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding her birds, doing puzzles and cooking. Violet was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Children, Beverly (Lee) Taylor, Michael (Lucy) Moon, Donald Moon and Timothy (Rita) Moon; 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; children, Allen & Beulah and 11 siblings. SERVICE Thursday, February 11, 2016, 10:30 am at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor David Bennett and Pastor Lee Taylor officiating. Interment in West Hesperia Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, February 10, 2016, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
