Violet Mastee

Mrs. Violet M. Mastee, age 90, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 5, 1921 to Ernie & Louzette (Moon) Powell and married John Mastee on September 23, 1944. Mrs. Mastee had been a loving homemaker and avid seamstress with a love for needlework. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed various crafts, gardening, walking and cooking. But foremost was always her family. SURVIVORS Daughters, Nanette (Cliff) Fabian of Montague, Barbara (Martin) VanOveren of Grandville; grandsons, Jeff (Heather) VanOveren, Scott (Kelli) VanOveren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; 3 sisters-in-law; brother-in-law, Walter Mastee; aunt, Maxine Moon. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in July 2011. SERVICE Saturday, January 7, 2012, 11:00 AM and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Fr. Thomas Brown officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: Arthritis Foundation.
