KIEL, MRS. VIOLET ROSE Twin Lake, MI Mrs. Violet Rose Kiel, age 89, died Saturday, April 19, 2003. She was born in Shelby Twp., Michigan on December 7, 1913 to Louis & Nellie Miller Schoch & married Lyle Kiel on May 17, 1935 in Muskegon, MI. After receiving her Masters Degree from Western Michigan University, she was an elementary & remedial reading instructor at Angel School. She also was a guidance counselor at Steele School in Muskegon, MI prior to retiring in 1979. She served public education for 34 years & was a member of the Alpha Beta Epsilon Sorority, Muskegon Area Retired School Personnel, Omicron & the MEA & NEA. Mrs. Kiel was also a longtime member of Twin Lake United Methodist Church. SURVIVORS Husband, Lyle; son, Louis Earlaine Kiel of Muskegon, MI; 2 daughters, Darlene Jack Boyer of Grand Haven, MI & Marilyn Jim Shingleton of Trenton, MI; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 4 sisters, Daisy Angell of East Lansing, MI, Doris Joseph Danhof of N. Muskegon, MI, June Robert Helmer & Evanne Roy Ervin, both of Shelby, MI; several nieces & nephews. SERVICE Thursday, April 24, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Lewis Glick officiating.
