SWEET, MR. VERSIL DEAN Grand Haven, MI Mr. Versil Dean Sweet, age 63, of Grand Haven, died Friday, January 25, 2002 at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born in East Jordan, MI on December 7, 1938 to Herbert & Belle Murphy Sweet & married the former Betty Mihalek in January of 1962. Mr. Sweet has been employed in the Quality Control Dept. at Herman Miller since 1985. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church & was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, woodowrking & gardening. SURVIVORS: Wife, Betty; son, Michael Sweet of Montverde, FL; daughter, Lisa Peter Impara Sweet of Olympia, WA; sister, Kathleen Peck of Boyne City, MI; 2 brothers, Basil Virginia Sweet of Petoskey, MI & Stanley Verna Sweet of Gulliver, MI; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lawrence Sweet & by a brother-in-law, Floyd Peck. SERVICE: A Funeral Mass for Mr. Sweet will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 28, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Spring Lake with Fr. Anthony Vainavicz officiating. Interment at Grand Haven Township Cemetery. VISITATION: Sunday, 2-5 PM at Clock Funeral Home with a Scripture Service during visitation at 4:30 PM.
