LEONARD, MRS. VERONA MAE Fruitport, MI Mrs. Verona Mae Leonard Lukonic, age 92, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at her home after an unexpected struggle with cancer. Born on February 25, 1909 in South Range, MI, she lived in Shelby, MI & then Muskegon, MI as a young woman where she met & married Percy Leonard on July 29, 1929. The family lived on Estes St. in Lakeside, moving to Fruitport in 1951. Verona dedicated her life to her marriage, her husband, her two sons, their families & her grandchildren. She was an exemplary homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. We will all miss her warm smile & loving ways. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Robert Leonard of Palo Alto, CA & Thomas Leonard of Beavercreek, OH; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren & a brother, Frank Lukonic of Shelby, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy in 1982. SERVICE Saturday, December 15, 2001, 2:00 PM at the Clock Chapel-Fruitport with Rev. Donald Wood officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery.
