Vernice Kraus

Mrs. Vernice W. Kraus, age 97, died Friday, August 29, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on March 15, 1917 to Orel & Katherine (Weir) Andrews & married John Kraus. Mrs. Kraus worked at Continental Motors, and A clothes Buyer for the Abigail until her daughter passed. Vernice then raised 2 of her 4 grandchildren and went back to work in the mid 70's at Wesley School where she was employed as a Teachers Assistant for 20 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. SURVIVORS Grandchildren, John (Tonyia) Miller, Joni (Neil) Hawryliw, James (Dheilia) Koehler & Michele Anderson; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; special friend, Leonard (Tracy) Berghuis; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, daughter, Sandra Jo, 3 sisters and a brother. SERVICE Wednesday, September 3, 2014, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Fr. Antony Britto officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Hume Home, Grace Hospice or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
