Mrs. Verna I. Noble, age 93, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010. She was born in Muskegon, MI on January 10, 1917 to Dick & Irene (Hoekstra) VanderMolen and graduated with the Class of 1934 from Muskegon High School. Verna married Douglas Noble on December 12, 1941 in Muskegon. Mrs. Noble had been employed as a secretary at Sealed Power and retired from Clarke Floor Machine Co. in 1980. Verna was affectionately known as the "Queen Mum" by her many special friends and she will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Heartland Healthcare of Whitehall and Harbor Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Verna. SURVIVORS Daughter, Linda Noble of North Muskegon; nieces, Ruth Ann (Lanny) Tanton of TX, Susan (Frank) Lash of MS; nephews, R J VanderMolen of Ypsilanti, MI, Jim (Suvonne) Sanford of Clarkston, MI, Tom Sanford of KY, Ivan (Bernice) Gwilt of Dowagiac, MI; special friends, Bill & Donita Kelly, Doug & Lynette McLaughlin, Shirley & Bob Wickland, Dona David, Julia Datres, Betty Layton, Penny Loeb, Helen Lind, Sue Johnson, Karen Larnard, Donna Klecka, Dianne Wright, Doris & Jim Ahlstedt, Dorothy Rogoski, Marty Merkel, Merry Nyblade, Art Curow, Colleen Barnes and Revs. Lynn & Kay DeMoss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas and brother, Dick VanderMolen Jr. SERVICE A private family service will be held. VISITATION Tuesday, December 14, 2010 2:00-5:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Muskegon County Child Abuse Council-Ben Loeb Fund or Muskegon Rescue Mission.
