Vanderveen, Eleanor M.

Mrs. Eleanor "Ellie" VanderVeen, age 77, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at her home in Venice, FL. She was born March 20, 1929 and was the daughter of Ralph and Marie Kern. She married James VanderVeen and they spent 55 years together before his death. She spent most of her life in the Muskegon area and recently wintered at her home in Venice, Fl. Many will remember her as an avid bowler, card player, volunteer, entrepreneur, and bookeeper for several area businesses. Survivors: Daughter, Carol (George) Rager of Montague, Sons, Bill VanderVeen of Branson, MS and Steve (Victoria) of Palmyere, VA; Grandsons, Dale (Rachel) Rager and Gale Rager of Twin Lake. Great granddaughters Stacy & Chelsea Rager and Stephanie Brown all of the White Lake area. A Memorial Service will be held on February 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's of the Wood Catholic Church in Twin Lake, MI. For a lasting memorial, please consider Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
