Vanden Berg, Jerry

Mr. Jerry Vanden Berg, age 76, of Spring Lake (formerly of Muskegon) died Friday, January 26, 2007. He was born May 14, 1930 in Muskegon, Mi to the late Henry and Mary (Yarrington) Vanden Berg. He married Sue (Lutz) Haig on May 7, 1987 in Spring Lake. Jerry was in insurance sales for 20 years with Northwestern Life Insurance Co. He was past president of American Cancer Society and Ambuc's in Muskegon, past board member of West Michigan Center for Handicap. Jerry was a soloist for many years in the West Michigan area singing at various churches, choirs, member of the Harmony "4" Christ Quartet that sang for various churches and the Harmony "4" Quartet singing for weddings and anniversaries. He was an avid photographer winning many awards in the Muskegon Chronicle Photo Contest and the National Photo Contest. Jerry was past member of the White Lake Golf Course. He is survived by his loving wife; Sue, a daughter; Julie Vanden Berg, Holland; 2 sons; Mark (Tamra) Vanden Berg, Novi, Mi, Thomas (Darla) Vanden Berg, Spring Lake; step children; Tracey ( Thomas) Brennan and Robert (Mindy) Haig; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother; Charles (Jean) Vanden Berg, Holland. The Service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerald Poehl officiating. Friends may meet the family 7-9 P.M.
