Urshel Robbins

Mr. Urshel Robbins, age 86, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in Grand Haven. He was born on May 27, 1921 in Muskegon to Clarence and Grace (Hughes), and had resided in the area his entire life. Mr. Robbins had worked for Hackley Hospital for over 40 years, and was the manager of their Radiology Department. He was a member of the National Association of Radiology, and of Forest Park Covenant Church. He was married to the former Paulina Near for 55 years before she preceded him in death on August 15, 2001. SURVIVORS include daughter, Kathy (Bruce R.) Smith of Norton Shores; 2 grandsons, David and Mark Smith; brother-in-law, Ken (Jean) Near; and nephew, Ken (Shirley) Robbins. Mr. Robbins was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Dalton and Beulah Robbins. SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. Paul Bengtson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Friday. Burial will take place at Mennonite Cemetery in Shelby, MI. Memorial Contributions to Hackley Visiting Nurse Services Hospice and Forest Park Covenant Church will be appreciated.
