Tre'von Scott Ray, 30, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2026. Born on May 5, 1996, Tre'von was a devoted father and a beloved son of Linda Ray and Previn Coleman. He will be remembered for his love of family, his resilience, and the creativity he poured into his music.
Tre'von grew up attending New Hope Baptist Church, where he shared his gift of drumming. A proud graduate of Muskegon High School, Class of 2014, he played football and baseball and later found a passion for recording rap music in local and home studios known locally as "Slapstick Stackzo". He volunteered at the Sim Ray Community Center at Smith-Ryerson Park and worked in food service at Brann's Steakhouse. Tre'von enjoyed fishing and was highly involved in the lives of his children.
Tre'von is survived by his identical twin daughters, Se'era Ray and Sai'la Ray; his mother, Linda Ray; his father, Previn Coleman; siblings, Ashley Chapman, Previn Coleman, Shylia Parker, and Prescott Coleman; grandmother Shirley Kelley; dear friend Rance McCoy, and his cousin Cameron Briggs; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sim and Albirda Ray, Milton "ML" Hathorn, Phillip E. Kelley.
SERVICE
A funeral service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Kingdom Embassy Covenant Church, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a procession will lead to Restlawn Cemetery in Muskegon for burial, and family and friends will return to the church for a repast.
