Mrs Trena. Bierema, age 102, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010. She was born in Zuidevalde Groningen, Netherlands on April 10, 1907 to Klaas & Ebelina (TerLaan) VanBruggen. Trena came to this country and settled in Kalamazoo in 1910, later moving to Reeman MI. She married Henry (Ike) Vos in 1927, who later passed away in 1969. She later married Charles Bierema who also preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church, Ladies Aid, Cornerstone, Golden Ages & the Muskegon Rescue Mission. She loved to cook & bake. SURVIVORS Grandchildren, Bruce (Kathleen) Baker of FL, Bradley (Darlene) Nowak-Baker of Milford; great grandchildren, Sarah & Fritz of FL; great great grandchildren, Cheyenne & Hunter of FL; brother, Peter (Myrtle) VanBruggen of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law, Betty VanBruggen of Kalamazoo; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Joan (Claude) Baker; grandson, Brian Baker; 4 brothers & 4 sisters. SERVICE Friday, January 22, 2010, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel-Muskegon with Pastor Mike Borgert officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 3:00-7:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Muskegon Rescue Mission or Every Women's Place.
