On August 10, 2023, the world lost a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend with the passing of Tony Charles Moore. Born on January 4, 1968, in Olla, Louisiana, Tony's life journey took him from his Southern roots to Muskegon, Michigan, where he touched the lives of many through his kindness, strength, and enduring love. His memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born to Jimmy Paskel and Linda Fey Moore-Paskel, Tony's early life was shaped by the bonds of family and a spirit of adventure. Together with his parents, he later moved to Muskegon, Michigan, where he flourished in the embrace of a close-knit community.
Tony graduated from Muskegon High School, Home of the Big Reds! Tony led a life defined by a strong work ethic and a willingness to embrace new challenges. Tony navigated through numerous jobs, demonstrating adaptability and an unwavering commitment to every role Tony undertook.
Throughout his life, Tony's gentle demeanor and caring nature drew people towards him. He possessed a unique ability to empathize with others, offering a listening ear, and a comforting presence.
He found immeasurable joy in his four children: Tony Charles Moore Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Daruis Brown, Tatianna Moore, and Taylor Moore all of Muskegon, Michigan. His legacy will live on in their hearts. Tony's pride and joy extended to his three grandchildren: Briasja Bell, Ryan Bailey Moore, and Tarianna Moffett. He cherished the role of being a grandfather and created lasting memories that will be treasured by generations to come.
Siblings were the companions of his journey. Tony was a cherished brother to Paulette (Henry) Hathorn, Laneta Paskel both of Muskegon, Michigan, and Falecia Spencer of Kalamazoo, Michigan. His wisdom, humor, and unwavering support formed the foundation of their close relationships.
Tony's extended family held a special place in his heart. Nephews, Mark Graham Jr, Marquis Paskel, Jorden Sanders, and nieces Shawntierra Graham, Gionna Paskel, Laydee, Lanesha, Laquesha Spencer, and Anessa Hathorn were the beneficiaries of his love.
Preceded in death by his father Jimmy Paskel, Tony was welcomed into the arms of his grandparents, John and Bertie Moore, and his aunt, Annie Smith, as well as uncles Joe Willie and Willie Charles Minger, James, and John Moore. In their company, he finds eternal peace.
Tony Charles Moore's impact on those around him was profound and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
As we bid farewell to Tony in the physical sense, we carry his spirit forward in our hearts. Let us honor his legacy by embracing his kindness, his strength, and his capacity to love unconditionally. In doing so, his light will continue to guide us on our own life journey.
