Tolley Emil Lauretti, 87, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Muskegon,

Michigan. Tolley was born in Muskegon on July 28, 1939, to Dr. Emil and Dorthea Lauretti. Tolley grew up surrounded by family often working in the family ice cream or furniture businesses along with playing soccer. Tolley graduated from Purdue University. He was active in the ROTC and named was an active club soccer player. At Purdue he met and married Sharon Bratton to whom he was married for 49 years. He was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed in Panama and deployed to Vietnam.

After his time in the Air Force, Tolley and Sharon returned to the states. He attended Oregon State University, earning his master's degree in education. Tolley and Sharon moved their young family from the

Willamette Valley to Lakeview, Oregon. In Lakeview, he taught middle and high school science, math, and reading. He also coached the varsity football team and other various sports. Tolley loved teaching. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

After raising their 3 girls, Sharon and Tolley who was now working in Educational Administration, moved to Reedsport, Oregon. He later finished his educational career of over 30 years with YamiII/Carlton School District.

After retirement Tolley spent time as an avid cyclist traveling across the country to complete rides, participating in Volkswalks, learning wood carving, and volunteering at the Trappist Abbey in Lafayette, Oregon. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

After Sharon's passing in 2011 , Tolley reconnected with his high school sweetheart Yvonne Bush. Tolley and Yvonne were married on June 20, 2013. They made their home in Muskegon, Michigan and spent Tolley's last 15 years surrounded by family and friends.

Tolley is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Emil and Dorthea Lauretti, sisters Margret Krug, Eleanor Hughes and brother-in-law Steve.

Tolley is survived by his wife Yvonne Bush and children. His daughter Christine Penkava (David), grandchildren Kimberly Sabo (Mike) great granddaughters Audrey and Ruby. His grandson Jeffrey Stanek (Cassie) great grandsons Ivan and Ezekiel. His daughter Julie Nelson (Dean), grandson Jacob (Jackie) and great granddaughter Penelope. His daughter Rachel Robertson (Mark) sons Ryan (Abigail) and David. Along with stepdaughters Alison Bush and grandsons Dr. Patrick Nolan (Dr. Lauren Wrona) and Ryan Nolan, Jeannie Lokan (Art), grandson Samuel, stepson Joseph Bush (Angela), great grandchildren Lauren and Joey, and stepson Orrin Bush.

Tolley left this world singing and raising his hands to heaven. He will be forever in our hearts, and we rejoice that his suffering is over and he is free in the arms of his Savior.
