"My love, My life, My angel" Fruitland Twp. "Life isn't measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away." Todd R. LeRoux, age 40, was given the gift of eternal life on his birthday, March 30, 2007. With much courage and determination, for the past two years, he had been bravely battling ocular melanoma. At his home, surrounded by family and friends, he found peace and healing in the arms of the Lord. He was born March 30, 1967, in Muskegon, to Thomas and Sandra (Kalman) LeRoux. Todd loved his job at Anderson Global, where he worked with many who became good friends. Todd was a certified Pattern Maker and a member of the International Association of Machinists. He loved his family, friends, hunting, fishing, nature, Nascar, and Heavy Metal music. He will be sadly missed by his wife, "soul mate," Glenda LeRoux. She survives him along with 5 children, Wyatt LeRoux, Carrie (Thomas) O'Rear, Jessica West, Lindsey West, and Ryan West; granddaughter, Ashley O'Rear; father, Thomas (Kim) LeRoux; brother, Troy (Molly) LeRoux; sisters, Pam (Bob) Gerdert, Kelli (Dave) Ridlington, and Kylee Hassevoort; maternal grandmother, Frances Kalman; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Carol LeRoux; father and mother-in-law, Glen and Rhoda Lauher; sister-in-law, Gina (Paul) Lauher-Burnip; brother-in-law, Gary Lauher; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins; and also his lifelong friend, "Love You Bro," Otto Smith, Jr. and his parents, Otto and Althea Smith. Though we all grieve tremendously, there's comfort in knowing he is at peace with his loving mother, Sandra Gibbs; maternal grandfather, Oak Kalman; and his uncle, John Kalman who all faced their own battles with cancer and preceded him in death. The family would like to give a very special acknowledgement to Dr. Takami Sato in Philadelphia, and Dr. Hikmet Sipahi and all his staff. They allowed Todd to live with hope and gave him loving medical care and support. Following Todd's wishes, cremation has taken place. A CELEBRATION OF TODD'S LIFE will be held 7:00PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the Northside Bible Church, 1937 Whitehall Rd., with Todd's uncle, Rev. James Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Todd R. LeRoux Memorial Fund, at Fifth Third Bank, to help with medical expenses.
