Thurlo Allison

Mr. Thurlo. Allison, age 83, died Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was born in Muskegon, MI on March 31, 1930 to William & Blanche (Pettigrove) Allison and served in the US Navy. Mr. Allison had been a spring maker at American Coil Springs until retiring. He was a member of Cloverville Baptist Church, Muskegon Hts. and Fruitport Eagles. Thurlo loved growing his strawberries for people to come and pick and spent much of his time going to be with his friends in their breakfast club. SURVIVORS Sons, Benjamin Allison, Duane Allison, Alden Allison; daughter, Rhonda Spofford. 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Lester Allison. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Crystal Spofford. SERVICE Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 1:00 PM with visitation starting at noon at the Clock Chapel - Fruitport and Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Interment at Elbridge Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Thurlo Allison Memorial Fund or Alzheimer's Association.
